The mission of the Prospect House is to provide emergency services to those in need without regard for individual circumstances. They also provide life's basic needs: food, shelter, clothing, health care and a safe, secure living environment. Prospect House provides warm beds and hot meals for thirty-two men and women who experience homelessness. The shelter's individualized and comprehensive case management program offers counseling, referrals, crisis intervention, networking and guidance to help clients become more independent.
Volunteers are needed to provide and prepare dinner for approximately sixty residents. This must be set up is advance, and there can be no more then seven to eight volunteers at a time.
