Eileen Yost, MSN, RNC, RN, Instructor
Professor Yost received her MSN from
Western Connecticut State University in 2004, and received her AD and BSN from
Pace University. Her expertise is in the field of Maternal Child Health Nursing and is nationally certified in High Risk Intensive Care Nursing by the National Certification Corporation. Her focus for research and education is in the field of maternal-child health, and specifically, newborn strategies for bonding and quality improvement in the clinical setting.
Prior to joining the Sacred Heart University faculty on a full time basis she has been an adjunct clinical instructor for Sacred Heart University for 5 years. Additionally over the last 20 years Professor Yost has held several positions at Norwalk Hospital as the Patient Care Manager of the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, Clinical Educator for NICU and the Pediatric Unit, Clinical Manager for Maternal-Child Health as well as a staff RN in NICU, Well Newborn Nursery and Team Care: acute medicine.
Professor Yost is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, CT Nurse Executives (CONE), National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN) & Connecticut Association of Neonatal Nurses(CONN). She is a certified instructor for the American Heart Association and a Neonatal Resuscitation Provider instructor for the AAP.
