Do This:

Use your abs to lift yourself up from the mat.  Relax your neck and back muscles as you lift up.

Not This:

Fig.12

Do not strain your neck (see Fig. 12) or attempt to work your abs by moving your head!  Keep chin to the ceiling and feel it right in your abs.
