CIT OPPORTUNITIES & RESOURCES AT SHU
Sacred Heart University Center for Mission Education and Reflection provides varied opportunities and resources for reflection and conversation on the University's mission and identity within the Catholic Intellectual Tradition.

The Center for Catholic Thought, Ethics, and Culture offers a rich array of educational opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and the local community.

The Catholic Social Thought Scholars Program of Sacred Heart University provides students with an opportunity for in-depth study of Catholic social teachings as they relate to the students' experiences of service within the larger community. The program carries nine academic credits and scholarship funds.

The Hersher Institute for Applied Ethics of Sacred Heart University, serving both the campus community and the wider Fairfield County community, addresses issues of major ethical concern.

The Center for Christian-Jewish Understanding of Sacred Heart University attracts international attention for its work in promoting interfaith relations.

The Center for Spirituality and Ministry provides opportunities for theological updating and spiritual development as well as programs to bridge the gap between the world of work and the world of the spirit.

Sacred Heart University's active Campus Ministry provides opportunities for students to examine their beliefs and share in the faith-filled life of the University community. Campus Ministry draws together students, faculty, and staff to experience, claim and celebrate the richness of the Catholic tradition and spirit. A deep commitment to community service finds expression both in academic offerings and in the extracurricular activities of the students, faculty and staff of Sacred Heart University, coordinated by the Office of Service-Learning and Volunteer Programs.

Founded in 1995, Sacred Heart University Press is an important source for scholarly publications in the areas of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition, Catholic Higher Education, Christian-Jewish Understanding and the State of Connecticut Government and History. The Press continues to break new ground by publishing volumes that are engaging, stimulating and provocative.
