GEFFREY STOPPER, PH.D.
Assistant Professor of Biology
Tel: (203) 365-4894
E-mail: stopperg@sacredheart.edu

Area of Specialization: Evolutionary Biology, Developmental Evolution

Description of Research Interests:
I am broadly interested in many aspects of evolutionary biology, but mainly focus on how changes in genes and the interactions between genes and gene products result in evolutionary change in the development of morphology.  I most often approach these questions within the context of the evolutionary transition from fin to limb, and the subsequent radiation in limb morphology.

Primary Teaching Responsibilities:
BI CC 103 B The Human Community and Scientific Discovery
BI 111/113 Concepts in Biology I
BI 112/114 Concepts in Biology II
