CHRISTOPHER KELLY, PH.D.
Christopher Kelly, Assistant Professor of Religious Studies, BA, MA,
University of South Florida;
Ph.D. University of
Iowa.
Dr. Kelly’s primary research interests focus on Patristics and Christian Late Antiquity.
His area of specialization is in the origin and development of monasticism in the Latin West.
In addition, however, he has an abiding interest in biblical exegesis, mythology, comparative religion, and post-Shoah theology.
His teaching responsibilities include Introduction to Religious Studies; The Human Search for Truth, Justice, and the Common Good; and various courses in Christian history and historical theology.
Dr. Kelly joined the faculty of
Sacred Heart University in 2008.
