HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK
Community Connections is not all work! Plans include visits to local attractions. The program provides a great way to meet other students with similar interests and to learn more about the University.
Each evening students return to the Urban Center to clean up, cook, participate in some group activities and relax together. Evenings afford the opportunity for participants to reflect on the experience of the day with special emphasis on the social, political, or religious implications of that experience. Members of the Campus Ministry staff participate in the group and will provide daily opportunities for prayer, reflection and worship. Sacred Heart University professors and administrators, many of whom have already spent weekends at St. Charles Urban Center, join in some evening discussions.
