Alessa Ann Podolak is a graduate of Wellesley College (Wellesley, MA), where she obtained a BA in Sociology and Psychology. After graduating in 2002, she spent time overseas teaching English as a Second Language in the Marshall Islands. Upon returning to Connecticut, she pursued her certification in Social Studies at the secondary level. She was accepted into the Sacred Heart University Masters program and graduated in May, 2007. While interning at Hillcrest Middle School, Alessa had the opportunity to participate in the Project DISCOVER Robotics Program. This experience enabled her to research the ways that technology is integrated into the curriculum. Alessa now teaches at Hillcrest Middle School. |

Lisa Beth Nosevich obtained a BS in Economics and a minor in Mathematics from Fairfield University. After graduating, she worked at Hewitt Associates as a Processing Manager. In 2005, she decided to pursue a career in teaching. Lisa attended Sacred Heart University and graduated in May 2007 with her Masters of Arts in Teaching degree. During her tenure at Sacred Heart, she was involved in the Internship Program and worked at Hillcrest Middle School in Trumbull, CT. While at Hillcrest, she was actively involved in the Project DISCOVER Robotics Program run by Professor Bruciati. Lisa's educational research focused on the robotics program and the integration of technology into the classroom. Lisa now works at Hillcrest as an eighth grade mathematics teacher. |
