Sample Assignment - Use PhotoImpact and MS PowerPoint to plan instruction / create instructional materials for students in one grade (K-12). Design an original tutorial lesson that demonstrates how to use a specific software program to create or do something. The tutorial must also include an integrated classroom assignment. Tutorials showing how to use MS Publisher, PhotoImpact, PhotoShop or Blackboard are recommended. However, tutorials demonstrating how to use other programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc. are also acceptable. [Sample Tutorial - TBA]
Reflection Paper - Reflect on what you have learned in this course. Review the Connecticut Common Core of Teaching: Foundation Skills and Competencies (CCCT), the Connecticut Teacher Technology Competencies (CTTC), and the Connecticut Student Technology Competencies (CSTC). Compose a 500-1000 word reflection paper that discusses the relationship between the teaching and student competencies and what you have learned through this course. Be sure to mention the title of the competencies by name and also mention the exact competency or skill that you are referring to by name and number.
