Shaped by Water
Dr. Twan Leenders - Biodiversity in the Tropics
Tropical rainforests cover about 6% of the Earth's surface but are estimated to contain upwards of 50% of the planet's species. Abundant rainfall is one of the factors that allow animal and plant species to persist in these regions, but historic fluctuations in sea level have been among the driving forces that led to the dazzling diversity we see today.

Dr. Mark Alan Beekey – Life Within
About 71% of the earth's surface is covered by saltwater. Oceans constitute the largest repository of organisms on this planet including representatives of virtually every phylla. These organisms feature adaptations that are subject to the properties of the seawater surrounding them. Come explore nature's artistic license under the sea.
