You must wear athletic shoes. NO METAL CLEATS! NO SANDALS! NO BARE FEET! GAME TIME IS FORFEIT TIME! Games will start promptly at their scheduled start time. If you don't have enough players to field a team at game time; you will be given a forfeit. Please show up 15 minutes early to your game to check-in. Forfeiting will result in the loss of your forfeit fee and potentially disqualify your team from playoffs. To avoid this, you can notify the Intramural Director at least one business day prior to your scheduled contest to cancel. You will still receive a loss for the contest, but the contest will be counted as a cancel instead of a forfeit. Captains, or a team rep, must attend the captains meeting (if applicable) at the beginning of each season. This person(s) must sign-in to verify their attendance. Failure to attend will result in the loss of your forfeit fee. After one forfeit (or not attending the captains meeting) teams lose their forfeit fee. After forfeiting two (2) times or canceling three (3) times, teams are ineligible to make the playoffs. Teams must average a 3.0 (sportsmanlike conduct) or better in the regular season to be eligible for playoffs and maintain at least a 3 rating in each playoff game to continue to the next round. No team is guaranteed entry into playoffs. Teams may be eliminated based on winning percentage or sportmaship rating. Forfeit fees will be returned to captains after the completion of the playoff season or tournament. After championships, deserving captains will receive an e-mail from the Intramural Office specifying times and dates that they can pick up their refund. If you feel that your forfeit fee should be refunded but you do not receive an e-mail from the Intramural Office, it is your responsibility to contact the Intramural Office. If captains do not pick up their refund by the specified date and time, their fee will be deposited and it will not be returnable. If you wish to transfer your forfeit fee to another sport, you must inform the Intramural Director during the time which forfeit fees are being returned. Forfeit fees are not transferable from year to year. Alcohol is prohibited by participants, coaches and fans. Sacred Heart Athletic facilities are smoke free.
