GENERAL RULES
Alcohol is prohibited by participants, coaches and fans.
Sacred Heart Athletic facilities are smoke free.
Eligibility
Players must bring their valid Sacred Heart ID and Pitt Center Card to every game in order to be able to participate.
Who is Eligible?
Who is ineligible?
- Any non-Sacred Heart student
- Alumni who are not enrolled in a graduate program at Sacred Heart
- Any student with a hold on their Pitt Center card or SHU ID card
- Varsity Athletes cannot participate in the same or like sport as their varsity sport
Are there any restrictions?
- Members of a club team are limited to two club players per Intramural team in their like sport.
- Former SHU athletes must wait until the following academic year before playing their sport.
Penalties

Teams playing with an ineligible person are subject to forfeiting all games and risk suspension from Intramural activities for the semester.

The ineligible person will be suspended for the semester, possibly longer

Rosters & Waivers

Team members must be listed on the team roster prior to game play.

All members playing must have signed the team waiver.

When participating in a league, you can play on one team only.

All roster additions must take place during the regular season.

Roster additions for tournaments must be made before your first scheduled game.
Forfeits
- GAME TIME IS FORFEIT TIME!
- Forfeiting will result in the loss of your forfeit deposit and disqualify your team from playoffs.
- Multiple forfeits/cancellations will result in being dropped from the league.

Sportsmanship Ratings
- Excessive reprimands and poor sportsmanship may result in a team being dropped from a league or the playoffs.
Captains Meeting
- The team captain, or a team rep, must attend the captains meeting (if applicable) at the beginning of each season.
- Failure to attend will result in the loss of your forfeit fee and delay in getting onto the playing schedule.
Playoffs
- No team is guaranteed entry into playoffs.
- Teams may be eliminated based on the team record and/or sportsmanship rating.
Ejection
- Any player ejected from a contest will be suspended from all games on the team's next date of competition.
- He/she must meet with the Intramural Director prior to rejoining the team.

All participants must play by the rules.

All participants are responsible for being aware of the rules, both general and sport specific.

Participants must conduct themselves in an appropriate, sportsmanlike manner at all times during competition. The intramural staff reserves the right to eject any participant for un-sportsmanlike conduct.

No alcohol, chewing tobacco or smoking. Those suspected of intoxication will not be allowed to play for the safety of themselves and others.

In addition, the following is not allowed at intramural events: seed spitting, profanity, public urination and excessive noise. This is out of respect to our facility and neighbors.
