Sacred Heart University’s Student Affairs Lecture Series will present Dr. Judea Pearl, noted scholar and father of slain Wall Street Journal reporter, Daniel Pearl, who was kidnapped and murdered by Islamic extremists in Pakistan in 2002. |

WHAT: |
“Can We Talk Ourselves to Peace: Carving a Path For East-West Dialogue,” a lecture by Pearl, who is the president of the Daniel Pearl Foundation, www.danielpearl.org. Pearl will speak about the Foundation he helped create in April 2002 “to continue Daniel’s life-work of dialogue and understanding and to address the root causes of his tragedy.” The Foundation sponsors journalism fellowships aimed at promoting honest reporting and East-West understanding, organizes worldwide concerts that promote inter-cultural respect, and sponsors public dialogues between Jews and Muslims to explore common ground and air grievances.
