ABOUT OUR WEBSITE
The Sacred Heart University website is comprised of over 100 departmental sites and over 3,000 pages. The website was created by the Web Management Committee, Keating Associates and Synthenet Corporation based on data collected in questionnaires and meetings with key stakeholders. Our goal was twofold:
1) to design a website that is visually appealing, user-friendly and presents SHU in its best light
2) to decentralize content management by implementing an easy-to-use online content management system which allows departments to manage their own content anytime, anywhere.
The template-driven content management system allows individuals and departments to add new content and manage their revisions while still maintaining the integrity of the site design and the user experience. Knowledge of HTML is not required.
The system also includes monthly site statistic analysis. These reports will provide website visitor and traffic statistics which will allow us to analyze how our users interact with our site and help us make informed decisions about what changes can be made to improve their experience.
