SACRED HEART UNIVERSITY TO HOST WORKSHOP ON MAIL-CENTER SECURITY
On Wednesday, November 14, Sacred Heart University will host a mail center-security workshop sponsored by the Fairfield County Postal Customer Council. The workshop will be held in the University Commons from 9 a.m. to noon, with registration at 8:30 a.m. This workshop is free and open to the public and to area businesses.

Titled “Protecting Your Employees and Securing Your Mail Center,” the workshop will be led by a trio of veteran postal inspectors, Matthew Morrison, Tom Labert and Tom Ardito.

Morrison has worked for 17 years as a postal inspector, and was active in the much-publicized anthrax investigation in New York City in the fall of 2001. Lambert, who was involved with Connecticut’s anthrax investigation, has 20 years’ experience in the field, most recently focusing on “Prohibitive Mailings,” a class of restricted items that includes bombs, drugs and threats. Ardito has been a postal inspector for five years, with expertise in the Postal Services Biohazard Detection Program.
