Sacred Heart University’s John F. Welch College of Business is featured in the 2008 edition of the Princeton Review’s "Best 290 Business Schools" (Random House/Princeton Review, $22.95), which is now available for purchase. The book, known for its college rankings based on how students rate their schools, lists the Welch College as one of the nation’s best.
SHU’s Welch College of Business is one of 23 business schools that The Princeton Review is adding to the guidebook this year. Also this year, Sacred Heart University was chosen for inclusion in the Princeton Review’s “The Best 366 Colleges: 2008 Edition.”
The Princeton Review compiled the lists based on its surveys of 19,000 students attending the 290 business schools in the book, and on school-reported data.
SHU has been providing business education since 1965, just two years after its founding, and the MBA program was the University’s first graduate program. In January 2006, the school was named for GE’s legendary former Chairman and CEO, Jack Welch. Earlier this year, the College was accredited by the AACSB, the premier global accrediting body for schools of business.
In addition to its campus in Fairfield, Connecticut, the Welch College of Business established an MBA program in Luxembourg in 1991 which today has over 200 graduates.
Undergraduate majors offered by the Welch College of Business include Accounting, Business Administration, Business Economics, Finance, and Sport Management. MBA students can choose from concentrations in Accounting, Finance or General Management.
The Princeton Review has posted the ranking lists and information on how they are compiled at www.PrincetonReview.com where the lists can be searched by school or by category.
The school profiles in each book cover academics, admission, financial aid, campus life and career information. They include advice on funding the degrees and applying to the programs.
