Deborah McDonagh came to
Sacred Heart University in 2004 as a Graduate Assistant pursuing a Masters of Arts in Teaching. Prior to Deborah’s arrival at
Sacred Heart University she was an Athletic Training Intern at
Stony Brook University. She originally hails from
Vermont, where she completed a B.S in Athletic Training and Exercise Science from Castleton State College. She earned her MAT from
Sacred Heart University, May 2006. During her time as a Graduate Assistant she was a clinical instructor to the undergraduate Athletic Training Education Program. Deborah is currently employed by Rehabilitation Associates, Inc. as a certified athletic trainer in a clinical setting as well as outreaching to Notre Dame Catholic High School of Fairfield.
Her teaching assignments have included Rehabilitation of Injuries Lab, Practicum 1 Facilitator and Prevention of Athletic Injuries and Illnesses. In her personal time she enjoys running, hiking and gardening.
