PATRICIA CONTI, M.A.
Patricia A. Conti, M.A. is an Instructor in the English and Foreign Languages and Cultures departments and a member of the Freshman Advising Program. She teaches academic writing, communication and Literary Expressions of the Human Journey. In her advising capacity, she works with freshmen to ensure that they begin their scholastic careers with the academic skills they need to succeed and flourish in a demanding academic environment. She has a B.A. in Psychology from San Jose State University, and an M.A. from Boston University School of Communications where she was a Writing Fellow in the Freshman Communication program. She has been part of the SHU community for 13 years and prior to joining SHU she directed a Health Sciences Program at Foothill College in Los Altos, California, and spent two years in the Peace Corps teaching English in Brazil.
