WILLIAM MAYER, PSY.D.
Education: Psy.D., MA, California School of Professional Psychology; BA, Colorado State University
Research Interests: Areas of sports psychology including cognitive-affective stress management with athletes, child development and child therapeutic techniques
Courses Usually Taught: Introduction to Psychology, Child Development, Life Span Development, Sports Psychology, Psychology Internship
Biography: After teaching as an Adjunct Professor, Dr. Mayer was happy to join the Psychology Department in the Fall of 2006. He has years of experience practicing as a Clinical Psychologist. Currently, he has a private practice specializing in work with children and their famalies. By sharing clinical experiences, Dr. Mayer hopes to help students integrate theory with practice. He is also excited to get involved with the Athletic Department.
