Manager: Physical Plant
Position Responsibilities:
Maintains the entire University facility: physical building structures; all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment. Oversees the care, maintenance and repair of all landscape areas, athletic fields, roads and walkways. Manages the Work Order System; all capital improvement projects keeping the University in compliance with all regulatory laws (OSHA, permits, ADA, etc).
Daily Tasks:
Manage the Work Order System: daily: print orders, assign tasks, review completion and close open orders in the system; generate status reports. Supervise staff personnel to prioritize and organize work orders; to order parts and materials to ensure adequate parts inventory. Manage trades schedule to assure proper coverage. Develop inspection programs to identify and plan campus re-paving and walk-way maintenance/repair. Maintain record of all Operations vehicles maintenance and equipment; assure that State motor vehicle inspections are performed on schedule, and all licenses current. Provide “On-Call” Administrative response to after hours emergency or urgent calls for Campus Operations.
Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Campus Operations.
