CAROL-ANNE DABEK, B.S.
Office Manager Campus Minister
Carol-Anne has been called "the glue that holds the whole Campus Ministry team together." She juggles the roles of office manager, campus minister, mentor and friend with creativity and grace! Having begun her association with Sacred Heart University years ago as a student in University College's AHEAD program, she also has first-hand familiarity with the busy lives of our students.
Community service has always been a very important part of Carol-Anne's life. A member of St. James Parish in Stratford, Carol-Anne was involved with the Habitat for Humanity Community Builders Coalition formed by Sacred Heart University, St. James Parish and St. Charles Parish. Since coming to the University in 2000, she continues to participate in its Habitat for Humanity projects, recently a part of the Women Build! She serves meals at The Thomas Merton Center with our students and other members of the campus ministry team. Carol-Anne is also a familiar at programs such as Community Connections and Encounter with Christ.
Carol-Anne's family participates in the 5-mile walks as well as the 12-, 30- and 60-mile bike rides for MS Awareness, and she was there in Boston to greet her husband and son when they crossed the finish line of the 350-mile AIDS Awareness Bike Ride in July 2001. When she has free time, Carol-Anne loves to attend Broadway shows, visit art museums, play tennis and attend professional tennis matches.
After a long day at Campus Ministry, you will find her exercising at the William H. Pitt Center with her co-workers. Carol-Anne enjoys baking and welcomes all to stop by Campus Ministry to taste some of her homemade cookies--and find new friendships. You can reach her at (203) 371-7840 or by email.
