PATRICIA KILCULLEN
Patricia Stork Kilcullen, EdD, APRN Assistant Professor, Sacred Heart University Nursing Program. Patricia received her Doctorate in Education Leadership form the University of Bridgeport. She holds a MSN Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist degree from Adelphi University as well as a Post Masters Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Western CT State University.  Her BSN degree was awarded from Villanova University in Pennslyvania.

My clinical passion has always been centered on the care of Oncology patients and their families.   I have held multiple clinical positions during my 30 years in clinical practice, including Assistant Director for Oncology Nursing at Yonkers General Hospital, where I opened the first cluster unit for chemotherapy administration in the county. In caring for patients in the community I have been a home care intravenous nurse, specializing in chemotherapy, antibiotic and supportive therapies for those with long term intravenous needs and chronic conditions.

As an Adult Nurse Practitioner, I have worked with clients in private practice.  Currently my practice area includes Housatonic Medical Group. Previously, I was established with NP Care, an established corporation of independent nurse practitioner partners providing practitioner care to residents in nursing homes in the Danbury area.

As an educator, I am able to combine my love for the clinical aspects of nursing while encouraging and engaging innovative nursing practice with our students. Scholarly interest include the area of student success on the NCLEX , and I have presented my dissertation research: Predictive Indicators for BSN Nursing Students on the NCLEX Examination at multiple national conferences.

Prior to joining the faculty at Sacred Heart, I was Assistant Professor of Nursing at both Western CT State University and Southern CT State University.
