KIM FOITO

Kim Foito, MSN, RN, Sacred Heart University Nursing Program. Kim joined the nursing faculty at Sacred Heart University in 2006. She received her AD and BSN at Salve Regina University, and her MSN from Sacred Heart University. Professor Foito has focused her career in pediatric nursing for the last 10 years and continues to work per diem at the P.T. Barnum Pediatric unit at Bridgeport Hospital. For the past five years she has also served as adjunct clinical faculty for Yale’s Graduate Entry Pre-Specialty in Nursing Program (GEPN). In 2004, Mrs. Foito contributed to the Connecticut Health and Educational Facilities Authority (CHEFA) grant awarded to Sacred Heart University’s nursing department for lab improvement and curriculum development. She is currently in her second term as president of Sacred Heart University’s chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, the international nursing honor society. Mrs. Foito is pursuing a PhD in nursing research from the University of Connecticut. Her current research interests include clinical simulation in nursing and minority student success in undergraduate nursing programs.
