1. Go to http://www.ruckus.com . In the upper left-center portion of the website click on the link “Not Logged In (Sign In)”.
2. At the quick registration page enter in the requested information:
a. Enter your Sacred Heart email address
b. Enter your info:
Select that you are a student
Leave the promo code box blank
Enter your first and last name
Indicate gender and graduation year
c. Create an unique password for RUCKUS and reenter it. (It must be at least 6
characters long.)
d. Read the Ruckus terms of agreement and check the box that you accept.
e. Click the purple “Next” button.
3. Go and check your Sacred Heart email for an email message from Ruckus. Depending on when you do this, it might take a few minutes before you receive their reply. If you don’t receive it, click on the “help site” link and let them know.
4. In the email message from Ruckus, there will be instructions on what to do next. Click on the link to complete your Ruckus registration.
5. Enter your Ruckus password again and click “next”
6. Download the Ruckus Player by clicking on the left button and following their instructions. Ruckus Player can be downloaded to two different computers and accessed by your login.
7. Click on the download button.
8. Click “Run” to begin the Ruckus player download.
9. In the Ruckus Player Setup, click the “Next” button.
10. Review the Ruckus License Agreement and click the “I Agree” button to continue with the installation.
11. Select the Default installation and click the “Next” button.
12. If you receive this message do not worry. Should you need to reload Windows Media Player in the future, it is readily available on the web. Click the “OK” button to proceed.
13. During installation of the player, you can elect to create shortcuts and startup options. It is recommended that you just add a shortcut to the desktop.
14. You are close to being done. Click “OK” to restart your computer.
15. Music provided through Ruckus requires that your computer have Digital Rights Management (DRM) components installed. Click the “Upgrade” button to proceed.
16. Enter your Sacred Heart email address and the Ruckus password you just created and click the “Log in” button.
17. Enter your email address and Ruckus password one more time and click the “Log in” button.
18. You should now see the Ruckus player screen. To begin enjoying this entertainment service, click the pink “GO TO RUCKUS.COM” button in the upper right corner to go to the Ruckus web site to begin downloading songs and albums for use on your computer.
The search window on the upper left side allows you to type in the name of an artist, album, or track to search for.
