HUI MEI LIN
Hui-Mei Lin, a native of Taiwan, received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Hartt School of Music where she studied with Anne Koscielny and Raymond Hanson as a full scholarship student.  After graduating from Hartt, she was awarded the renowned William Petchek full scholarship to the master's program at Juilliard.  While attending Juilliard, she performed as a soloist at the Alice Tully Hall. She received her Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from the Graduate School of the City University of New York.

Ms. Lin made her New York solo debut at the Weill Recital Hall at the Carnegie Hall as the winner of the Artists International Competition. She was described by the New York Times as “an excellent pianist throughout” and the Taiwan News as “a sensitive and powerful pianist.” Concert tours have taken her to Italy, Canada, and various cities in Taiwan, including two concerts at the national Concert Hall in Taipei.  Her media broadcast included solo performances at PBS, WQXR, Taiwan Television and China Broadcasting.

Ms. Lin has performed as the featured soloist with the Camerata Orchestra, The Connecticut String orchestra, the Hartt Symphony Orchestra, the Chappaqua Orchestra, The Irvington Symphony Orchestra, and the Ossining Choral Society. As a chamber musician, Ms. Lin has performed with cellist Carter Brey, flutist Robert Stallman, soprano Berenice Bramson at the Weill Recital Hall; the New Hungarian Quartet in Taos, New Mexico, and the Peregrine Trio throughout the North East.

In addition to chamber music and solo performances, Hui-Mei frequently gives lecture-recitals in universities and musical clubs. Last season she performed lecture-recitals at Queens College, Westchester American Guild of Organists, the Hartt School, and Tung-Hai University in Taiwan.

Hui-Mei held the position of Artist in Residence at the King's College, NY, adjunct professor at the State University of NY at Purchase, and is currently on the faculty of the Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
