RICK DELVECCHIO, serves as Director of Career Placement. In this role, Rick assists College of Business students with resume development, interviewing, job search strategy, and graduate school planning. Additionally, he builds and maintains employer relationships and assumes the lead role with all placement activity and employer events.Rick joined Sacred Heart in October 2005 after almost 10 years in the professional sports industry, with demonstrated success in recruitment, hiring, project management, and mentoring.
In his role as the Assistant General Manager with the Bridgeport Bluefish, Rick created and managed an internship program which included recruiting, hiring, and mentoring college students. In other sports industry roles, Rick has handled job development and conducted community outreach, as well as, having actively participated in multiple career and job fairs, over the last six years, at colleges and universities throughout the United States.
Rick has utilized a strong marketing background to create strategies and marketing materials to promote events and generate awareness to a number of different audiences, in addition to website redesign.
Rick is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, with a B.A. in History, where he also served in the highly competitive role as Head Baseball Manager.
