Catering - 396-8008
Any student club/organization wanting an event to be catered must go through Sacred Heart University's Food Service Company: FLIK International. FLIK has specific catering menus for special events and will work with all of your needs. A catering order must be placed 10 working days before the event.
Copying/Faxing/Mailing
ALL COPYING, FAXING, AND MAILING MUST BE APPROVED BY THE STUDENT ACTIVITIES OFFICE. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Copying: - 371-7952
All clubs and organizations must fill out a Duplicating Request Form which can be found in the Student Life Office. All clubs are allocated $50 from the Finance Board for making copies each semester. All duplicating takes at least 48 hours to process.
Mailing/Faxing
All mailing and faxing must go through the Student Life or Student Activities Department.
Building and Grounds Request - 371-7870
If special maintenance services are needed (i.e. tables, chairs, risers, electricity, etc.), Please fill out the specified areas on the Event Registration Form. All requests must be done at least 2 weeks in advance. The Student Activities Department does not pay for any overtime; therefore, all requests must be completed from Monday through Friday between 8 am to 4 pm.
Alcohol Request - 371-7913
Any club/organization wanting alcohol service at an event not being held in the Outpost must meet with the Director of Student Union to register the event for approval and order alcohol.
Contracts - 371-7969
All contracts for performers, DJs, lecturers, rentals, etc. must be signed by the Associate Dean of Students. If a student signs a contract, that student will be personally liable for the monetary and legal transactions that occur with that contract. The Student Life Department also provides a standard contract for DJs or bands if need be.
Co-Sponsorship - 371-7969
Any club/organization who would like to co-sponsor an event through the Student Activities Office must meet with the Coordinator of Student Activities as well as the Student Government Vice-Presidents for the CCO and the Finance Board. This process must be done at least 3 weeks prior to the event.
Fundraising: - 371-7969
All clubs and organizations must fill out an Event Registration Form for their fundraisers and await approval from the Student Activities Department. This is done to prevent duplication efforts by various organizations. It enables the Student Life Department to place the fundraising efforts on the Master Calendar. All clubs/organizations must fundraise in order to remain active. (See Club/Organization Rights and Responsibilities).
Fundraising Patents - 371-7969
Exclusive rights to a fundraising event can be obtained through the Student Activities Department. A club/organization seeking a patent must submit a written request to the Coordinator of Student Activities. This fundraising event must be significantly different and unique from other fundraisers put on by different clubs. Each club/organization must renew a patent on a yearly basis. The patent will be allowed a maximum of 2 renewals.
Raffles - 371-7969
All clubs/organizations wanting to hold a raffle must register with the Student Activities Office. In accordance with the state of Connecticut, a raffle application must be completed 30 days prior to the event. 50/50s are illegal in the State of Connecticut, therefore, will not be approved.
Technical Requests - 396-8027
All clubs/organizations needing technical equipment for an event must reserve it through the Student Union Office. Technical needs include sound systems, microphones, etc. Bands are not permitted to use this equipment. It is intended for smaller scale events.
Channel 6 Services - 396-8027
All clubs/organizations wanting a text message promoting an event must submit a Student Union Request Form in the Student Union Office.
