INTERNATIONAL/MULTICULTURAL CENTER
Sacred Heart University's International/Multicultural Center provides a wide range of services and programs to promote diversity and cultural awareness not only within Sacred Heart University, but also within the community.
CELTIC CLUB
The Celtic Club was formed in Spring 2004. As a club they want to help spread the knowledge and traditions of the Irish culture within the SHU community. Some programs they are looking to do are teaching Irish Dancing and Gaelic.CIAO ITALIA
The purpose of the Italian club is to foster understanding and appreciation of the Italian and Italian-American culture through lecture, social activities, and film. Some campus-wide activities include an Italian Feast, Italian Coffee House, and a trip to Little Italy in NYC.
INTERNATIONAL CLUB
The International Club was founded in 1988. Its purpose is to provide an opportunity for many different students to interact, especially between International Students and American Students; thus helping each other be exposed to and learn about various cultures and ideas.
GAY/STRAIGHT ALLIANCE
The SHU GSA was started in the Fall of 2000 to promote a safe environment for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender students and their allies. They provide programming and events that promote a diverse and accepting environment, and work to make Sacred Heart University a better place for students no matter what their sexual orientation.
LA HISPANIDAD
This organization shall give students interested in Spanish and Latino heritage an opportunity to get together, exchange ideas, and get acquainted with one another. Moreover, La Hispanidad helps develop relationships and acts as a liaison with Sacred Heart University and the Spanish Community.
UMOJA
This club was created to promote unity and inclusion within the SHU community. Although UMOJA unites the African American culture, the doors are open to all students to participate in order to learn more about each other. The visions of everyone on campus need to be seen through a multi-colored lens, and UMOJA hopes to achieve this.
