CAN STUDENTS EXPECT A CONSISTENT LEVEL OF AID FOR THE FOUR YEARS THAT THEY ARE ENROLLED?
A: Yes, the relative aid will remain the same. Inflation does account for some changes in the parent's contribution, and there is a built-in expectation that upperclassmen will contribute more from their summer earnings than freshmen-a matter of a few hundred dollars-because they will be paid more on their jobs. But once we have determined a level of aid eligibility, we do not change the award in subsequent years unless there is a real change in the family's financial picture.
