A: Carefully consider the cost of the institution and figure out the ratio of financial assistance to the cost of attendance. Carefully review each award since the packages can vary significantly from one institution to another. Also, choosing a college should not be based solely on the award. The ultimate goal is to get a quality education in an environment consistent with your values and that will prepare you for beginning the career of your choice. It's difficult to avoid, but don't just look at the bottom line.
