I am excited to welcome you to Sacred Heart University and to share with you why the John F. Welch College of Business is such an exciting learning community. The John F. Welch College of Business curriculum emphasizes cutting-edge business education. Our students benefit from a seasoned faculty of international scholars and practitioners who mentor students through their classes, internships and ultimately to a rewarding job upon graduation. The College regularly invites recognized business experts to speak with students and supplement what they are learning in the classroom. In the last year, CEOs from international powerhouses such as GE, GE Capital, Jet Blue, ESPN and Perrier have been on campus to meet and talk with College of Business students.
The John F. Welch College of Business is a vibrant, dynamic place to study. Business students learn business strategies, practices, procedures and theories that model today's worldwide marketplace. Technology improves our ability to teach through a wireless network and the state-of-the-art video conferencing that links us to our European campus in Luxembourg.
As a Catholic liberal arts University, Sacred Heart focuses on the development of the whole person. Our students develop critical thinking skills and analytical ability, as well as oral and written communication skills. The College's mission statement includes emphasis on the study of ethics and global understanding.
The University's location in Fairfield County gives our students unlimited access to internships, employment and corporate professionals. Sacred Heart University John F. Welch College of Business alumni are working across the country, but many have started their careers at one of the more than 2000 companies and over 40 corporate headquarters located just outside our front door. Our proximity to New York City and Boston are a great advantage for our students who want to live and work in a major city.
