The American Political Science Association (APSA), founded in 1903, is the leading professional organization for the study of political science and serves more than 15,000 members in over 80 countries. Background Notes
Prepared by the regional bureaus of the U. S. Department of State, Background Notes are factual publications about the land, people, history, government, political conditions, economy, and foreign relations of independent states, some dependencies, and areas of special sovereignty. They include excellent overviews of history and economics for each country or region. The Background Notes are useful for those studying political science, economics, current events, and business, and the sections on foreign relations can be especially helpful for those studying international business.

(Capitol Advantage) Congress.org, a free public service of Capitol Advantage, is a "one-stop-shop" where one can identify their Congressional representatives; research Congressional voting records; learn about the issues of the day; and send e-mail directly to Congress. Constituents can even opt to have their e-mail message hand-delivered to their Representative or Senator's office on Capitol Hill - all without ever leaving their computer.

C-SPAN is a private, non-profit company, created in 1979 by the cable television industry as a public service. Their mission is to provide public access to the political process.
