AMY VAN BUREN, PH.D.
Education: Ph.D., MA, Emory University; BA, Williams College
Research Interests: Interpersonal relationships, emotional intelligence, expressive and receptive nonverbal behavior, adult attachment
Courses Usually Taught: Psychological Counseling I and II, Personality, Abnormal Psychology, Research Design and Analysis, Psychology Internship
Biography: Dr. Van Buren did a predoctoral internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York and a post-doctoral internship at Manhattanville College, and is licensed to practice counseling in Connecticut and New York. She enjoys combining her research interests with her clinical interests in interpersonal relationships and attachment, and would be happy to talk to students about options for pursuing graduate work in clinical or counseling psychology.
