CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
PSYCHOLOGY CLUB
The Psychology Club is open to all students interested in Psychology. Each year it co-sponsors a career night, which includes presentations by faculty from Psychology and other related disciplines on possible career paths for Psychology majors. It also sponsors other events, such as brown-bag lunch discussions of Psychology-related topics.

PSI CHI
Students meeting the necessary requirements will be invited by mail to join Psi Chi during the spring semester of each year.  Psi Chi is the International Honor Society for Psychology majors, and the best of Sacred Heart University's Psychology students are inducted into the society each year. The Society sponsors scholarship opportunities and student research conferences, and provides students with advice on choosing and getting accepted to graduate programs in Psychology.

Membership Requirements:

  1. Completion of 75 credits with an overall GPA of 3.6
  2. Completion of 18 credits or more of Psychology courses, including PS110, PS111, PS301, PS302 and 2 other Psychology courses
  3. All Psychology courses taken must have a GPA of 3.6.

STUDENT CHAPTER OF THE SOCIETY FOR HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (SHRM)
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world's largest association devoted to human resource management, representing more than 170,000 HR professionals. Students who are interested in a career in human resources can join Sacred Heart University's student chapter, which provides workshops on writing resumes and advice on obtaining employment after graduation.
