The Department of Psychology supports the goals of the University and the College of Arts and Sciences as described in their respective mission statements.
In addition, the Psychology Department has the goal of providing its students with a basic foundation in the scientific study of behavior.
Included in this goal is an understanding and appreciation of the history of the discipline and all of its many current subspecialties.
Upon completion of the Baccalaureate degree, graduates will be prepared to pursue graduate work in Psychology or a related field, or will be ready for employment in a variety of entry-level human services positions.
