ALPHA SIGMA PSI

ALPHA SIGMA PSI FRATERNITY

Locally Founded:  1999
Colors:  Yellow and Black
Website:  www.alphasigmapsi.org

In the Spring of 1999, on February 17th, Alpha Sigma Psi was founded by 18 young men.  They were a group of gentlemen, diverse in personalities, looking to bring a new perspective to Greek Life.  They wanted to make a difference, by being different.  Holding them tightly together were their values and beliefs of brotherhood.  They continue to live each day by their motto: “Begin with Respect, End with Dignity.”

Alpha Sigma Psi's main objective is to improve the domestic community of inner-city Bridgeport.  With this as their defining purpose, they are able to tackle such issues as Poverty and Child Abuse.  As they grow, they hope to take on other issues contributing to improvements within Bridgeport.

These goals also allow Alpha Sigma Psi to support other organizations in their efforts to make Sacred Heart and its surroundings a better place.  This is important to Alpha Sigma Psi because they hold unity as a high priority.  They believe that there is strength in numbers.

Along with taking on Inner-city Bridgeport, Alpha Sigma Psi puts a lot of effort into Sacred Heart and its community.  Events here on campus are another main area to which they focus on.

The brothers of Alpha Sigma Psi consider themselves a tight family brought together and strengthened by their strong beliefs of brotherhood and unity.  “With Self-respect, Respect for others, Loyalty, Honor, and a Tight Family, all things are possible.”
