ANNETTE M. BAILEY, PH.D
Annette M. Bailey, Assistant Professor of Social Work, BA, Sacred Heart University; MSW, Fordham University; Ph.D., Smith College School for Social Work. Dr. Bailey's doctoral research focuses on a comparison of the roles, tasks, and characteristics of school-based mental health social workers and school social workers. She also specializes in the study and practice of emergency mental health services, post-traumatic stress disorder, medical social work, school social work, conflict management, child welfare services, and infant mental health services. She has worked with the American Red Cross since 1977 and provides national disaster mental health services. Dr. Bailey's teaching responsibilities include beginning level and advanced social work practice courses and field education. Dr. Bailey has been a member of the social work program faculty and Coordinator of Field Education since 2001.
