Upward Bound is a federally-funded college preparatory program for high school students. This program develops academic and life skills necessary for success in college through advisement, counseling and academic support. It operates September through mid-August, ideally with students beginning the summer before their freshman year until their high school graduation.
Students attend individually tailored workshops with academic instruction and tutoring. During the school year students attend Saturday workshops twice a month. During the summer students attend a six week non-residential academic component; Monday through Friday they attend classes from 8:30 am until 3:15 pm.
