CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Clinical education provides students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge with clinical experience.  All clinical experiences are under the direct supervision of qualified personnel.  Students are exposed to a variety of clinical settings including wellness centers, hospitals, rehabilitation centers and corporate fitness centers.  Students are responsible for providing transportation to off-campus sites. The clinical education program requires students to amass a minimum number of clinical hours per semester, as outlined in the syllabi of each course.

The clinical rotation in Exercise Science is held in Fairfield County at local hospital rehabilitation departments, clinics, corporate fitness centers and sports performance centers. St. Vincent's Hospital, Norwalk Hospital, General Electric, and Velocity Sports are among the sites. The clinical instructors are exercise physiologists, nurses, physical therapists, and coaches working in allied health and exercise science.
