LISA BONDI, B.A.
Graduate AssistantLisa Bondi

Lisa Bondi comes to Sacred Heart University from the Midwest.  Originally from the Chicago area, her family now lives in Indiana. Most recently, Lisa attended Valparaiso University where she was pursuing a Master's degree in Education. As part of this program, Lisa spent a year teaching 1st and 2nd graders in an urban school near Gary, Indiana. After this challenging and humbling experience, Lisa realized that her passion for education is more focused toward adolescents and college students. This awareness brought her here to SHU to pursue a Master of Arts in Religious Studies with hopes of teaching religion courses at the secondary or collegiate level in the future.

Prior being at Valparaiso, Lisa earned a BA in Religious Studies with minors in Art and Women's Studies at Monmouth College in Illinois While at Monmouth, Lisa was an active member of various campus groups such as Alpha Xi Delta women's fraternity and Students Organized for Service (SOS). A highlight of her college career was being the reflection chair for Alternative Spring Break trips and serving as a student chaplain. As a chaplain she was able to be involved with a new sort of spiritual family and was able to share her faith experiences with other students.

Lisa likes to keep busy at play as well as at work, and her choices of relaxation include reading, crocheting, creating pottery, or catching entertainment at a local cafĂ©.  Lisa is extremely close to her family and friends at home (she misses them dearly), however she loves the new family she has gained at SHU.

In the office Lisa advises SunShine Kids, Knit Wits and Hospitality Ministry. This year Lisa is also very proud to take on the role of advising the University's Top Five in the Nation, Habitat for Humanity Chapter!

If you have any ideas that you would like to share with her, drop by Campus Ministry to visit her, send her an e-mail, or give her a call at (203) 396-8255.
