| In an effort to foster interreligious dialogue and understanding among religious leaders, the Center for Christian-Jewish Understanding led six American bishops and two Orthodox rabbis on a Study Tour to Krakow and Rome, September 19-23, 2005. |

| On May 3, 2005, the CCJU hosted Rabbi Charles Arian of the Institute for Christian-Jewish Studies in Baltimore, Maryland, and Reverend Blair Moffett of the First Presbyterian Church in Stamford, Connecticut, in a discussion of the land of Israel, its history and theological meanings, and the ethical questions surrounding its future. David L. Coppola, Ph.D., associate executive director of the Center for Christian-Jewish Understanding, moderated the dialogue, and a question-and-answer period for the audience followed the speakers’ presentations. |

| 2005 Annual Institute for Seminarians and Rabbinical Students |
| The Center hosted its sixth annual Institute for Seminarians and Rabbinical Students, June 6-8, 2005. Thirty-four future religious leaders from Jewish and Christian communities nationwide came together for three days of study, prayer, and dialogue. This was the first time that the full range of Judaism and Christianity was represented at the Institute, including two Orthodox Jews and two Orthodox Christians. |
