JOHN J. H. IM, PH.D., PROFESSOR

Dr. "John" J. H. Im, Professor of Management Information Systems (MIS), received his Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1986, MBA from the University of Hawaii-Manoa in 1983, and BBA from the Seoul National University in South Korea in 1975.

His teaching focus includes Principles of Information Systems, E-Commerce, Decision Support Systems, Telecommunications and Networks, Database Management. Before joining the Sacred Heart University in 2000, he had taught MIS and OM courses at the University of New Orleans for 14 years.

He has published papers in many academic journals including MIS Quarterly, Data Base, and Information & Management. His current research interests are e-government, e-education, e-business, and intellectual properties. His latest work titled "E-Government in South Korea: Planning and Implementation" is published in Electronic Government, An International Journal in 2005. In 2003, he wrote an article titled "Privacy" in the Encyclopedia of Information Systems.
