
Dr. Andra Gumbus, Associate Professor of Management, received her BA in English from Miami University, her Masters in Public Administration from the University of New Haven and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the College of Business at the University of Bridgeport. She teaches undergraduate courses in Human Resources Management, Frontline Supervisory Skills, and Business Ethics. Her graduate courses include The Legal and Social Environment of Business. Dr. Gumbus has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at our Luxembourg campus and has taught undergraduate business students in the Irish Studies program in Dingle. Ireland.
Her research in the area of Business Ethics includes a publication in the Journal of Information, Communication and Ethics in Society and Information Systems Frontiers. She has published sixteen articles on performance management emphasizing the use of the corporate balanced scorecard and other management topics. These publications are found in the Organization Management Journal, The Journal of Management and Education, The CASE Journal and the Journal of Behavioral and Applied Management. Her research in Organizational Behavior includes eight articles on human resources and career development. Dr. Gumbus has presented at twenty five regional, national and international conferences.
She has received the following research awards: SHU College of Business Research Award 2003, and the Eastern Academy of Management Conference Best Paper Case Association Award 2003.
