Education: MA, St. John University, Jamaica, NY; BA, Molloy College, Rockville Centre, NY

Research Interests: Success in mathematics is a primary focus. This involves overcoming math anxiety and alternate learning/pedagogical techniques in the teaching of mathematics. Addressing the needs of future teachers of mathematics is also a concern.

Courses Usually Taught: Mathematics/Calculus for Decision Making, Precalculus, Calculus I and II, Geometry and Elementary Statistics.

Biography: Professor Kinik is actively involved in helping students achieve success in mathematics. As Coordinator of the Mathematics Lab, she is involved with the peer tutoring and the Classroom Learning Assistant programs. As Chair of the Mathematics department, she encourages students to see her should they have any concerns or questions. Her door is always open to students and faculty alike.
