FAIRFIELD RESIDENT JOINS SACRED HEART UNIVERSITY AS DIRECTOR OF ALUMNI AND PARENT RELATIONS
FAIRFIELD, Conn.— Sacred Heart University recently welcomed Marie Donahue of Fairfield, as the new director of
alumni and parent relations. Ms. Donahue returns to the University, where she was previously the director of annual giving and later assistant director of undergraduate admissions. In between her positions at SHU, she worked as a sales consultant in the private sector.
As the director of annual giving at Sacred Heart University, Ms. Donahue created the Pioneer for Life-Alumni Walkway on campus. The walkway, which is composed of personalized bricks donated by alumni, was completed in 2001. To date, the walkway has raised over $40,000 for student scholarships at SHU.
In her newly created position, Ms. Donahue will work to foster relationships with SHU alumni and parents of current students. “I'd really like to encourage our alumni to consider SHU as a resource for continued education, career services and networking,” she said. “Sacred Heart University has grown so much over the past few years and I look forward to seeing our alumni and parents get involved in this great community and take part in the many upcoming University events.”
Ms. Donahue earned Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Connecticut.
