WALTER BROOKS, PH.D.
Walter Brooks, Associate Professor of Religious Studies, BA, Boston College; MA, Ph.D., Fordham University. Dr. Brooks's research and teaching interests focus on the Historical Jesus, the Gospels, and other literature in the Old and New Testament. He also teaches a yearly summer course on Celtic Religions in Dublin, Ireland. He founded the Thomas More Honors Program and served its director until 2007. He was also a leader in creating the study-abroad program in Dingle, Ireland. Dr. Brooks has been a member of the Religious Studies Program at Sacred Heart University since 1967.
