| |  |  | PAYMENT PLANS Sacred Heart University offers alternative payment options. Please read the terms of these options carefully before choosing one. Full-time students are those enrolled for 12 or more credits per semester. If no payment plan is elected, you will receive a bill for full payment. Students receiving financial aid are responsible for paying the portion not covered by pre-credited aid according to the payment plan elected.
Billing statements are mailed monthly to students. Accounts can be paid via mail by check only or cash payments can be made at the Fairfield Cashiers Office. The New On Line Pay In Full Option is now available using Checking/Saving/Credit Card. Payments are posted to your account as payments are cleared by your banking institution. On-Line credit card payment option carries a convenience fee (%) which has been absorbed by the University for the initial 1st year of the this program. Beginning with the June 13, 2007 and going forward the convenience fee (%) will be the responsibility of the party making the payment. Full Time UG Students must be enrolled in a Payment Plan or your Account paid in full by August 1st for Fall Semester or Dec 1st for the Spring Semester (Classes are subject to cancelation). - Full Payment: for the Fall semester, payment in full is due August 1.

PT UG/Graduate Students must be enrolled in a Payment Plan or account paid in full by September 1st for the Fall Semester or January 1st for Spring Semester(Classes are subject to cancelation) Part-Time, Ahead Terms and Graduate Students - Full Payment: for Fall semester, payment in full is due September 1.

Monthly Payment Plans Promissory Note: For value received, the undersigned jointly and severally promises to pay to the order of Sacred Heart University all tuition and fees stated in the conditions of my registration agreement and if applicable the housing, meal plan, plan fees, hereafter called the principal.
In the event a payment is received later than the due date, a finance charge will be assessed at the rate of .75% per month on the unpaid balance (annual rate of 9%), such interest to be computed from the due date. Should any outstanding balance be referred to a collection agency for collection, the signer of this note acknowledges that this may affect signer's credit rating. Should suit be brought to recover this note, or should the same be placed in the hands of an attorney for collection, the maker(s) of this note promise to pay (holder's attorney fee), an amount equal to 15% of the principal amount owing hereon but in no event less than $50 in addition to the amount found owing hereon.
In addition the University will not release grades, employer degree verifications, transcripts, diplomas or allow a student to register for subsequent terms with a delinquent balance.
The University reserves the right to request all delinquent payments be made in the form of a bank check, certified check, or money order. All personal checks require 30 days clearance prior to the release of a Transcript, employer verification and or Diploma.
For Part-Time Students ONLY
Guaranteed Payment Plan This plan is available only to part-time students who are eligible for employer tuition reimbursement, the purpose of this plan is to allow part time students to register for the current semester while deferring tuition payment until the payment date designated for the semester. Students must complete a Guaranteed Payment plan and provide a valid credit card number authorizing the University to charge the card on the charge date. A signed letter from the student's company, validating their tuition reimbursement policy and the students eligibility, is required in order to participate in this plan. A Guaranteed Payment Plan Fee of $75 is assessed once per semester. Credit card numbers that are illegible, incomplete, or declined will be assessed a $90 Credit Card Rejection fee and the University reserves the right to refuse acceptance of future Guaranteed Payment Plan for participation.

I understand that payment of my tuition is my responsibility. If my account has not been paid in full by the designated due date, I do hereby authorize Sacred Heart University to charge my credit card on the date designated to satisfy my account in full. By participating in this plan, I agree to the terms of the registration agreement.
Withdrawal from individual classes Withdrawal forms can be obtained at the Office of the Registrar during normal business hours. Completed forms with proper signatures must be submitted in-person. Withdrawing from a course after the add/drop period will result in a W grade being posted to the student's academic record Withdrawing from a class after 5 weeks may result in a WF grade at the discretion of the instructor.
Full-time students withdrawing from individual classes do not change their full-time status. Therefore, no refunds are applicable. Part-time students withdrawing from individual classes will receive a tuition refund based on the tuition refund schedule listed below. Withdrawing from the University Full-time students must see Dean Michael Bozzone to conduct an exit interview and complete the required forms. In addition, full time students with financial aid must have an exit interview with a financial aid counselor. Part time students withdrawing from the University must submit a completed withdrawal form with proper signatures. Official withdrawal is necessary to assure the proper entry of grades on the transcript and the determination of any refund, if applicable.
Refunds - Refunds are based on full tuition charges.
- Failure to withdraw properly will result in the issuance of a Withdrawal/Failure grade and responsibility for payment in full.
- If a student withdraws prior to the start of the semester, all fees will be refunded, except the registration fee. Once a semester begins, there are no refunds of fees, this includes registration fees, lab fees & music lab fees.
- If the course is canceled, all fees are refunded.
- Refunds will not be given to students who have an outstanding balance.
- Refunds are based on the schedule below and determined by the date of notification to the Registrar's Office/Advisement Office, not the date of last class attended.
Note: Withdrawal from individual classes or the University may affect financial aid and other eligibility. 1. Deduct 20% for each meeting for an AHEAD/ Leadership course meeting twice a week. 2. Deduct 40% for each meeting for an AHEAD/ Leadership course meeting once a week. 3.
