Classroom learning is enriched in a number of ways, including:
•field trips to the state Capitol, Washington, D.C.
•internships with legislators in the Connecticut General Assembly
•Washington and district office internships with national legislators
•election campaign and party organization internships
•internships with public administrators
•and other regular internships, including International Executive Service Corps and Reed Exhibitions, both located in Stamford, CT.
The Department has implemented a Semester in Washington program. The inaugural group will go there in the summer of 2011.
