Jay Taylor, MSW
Jay received his Masters in Social Work from The Ohio State University with a focus in social justice. Jay approaches clinical work through a strengths-based lens that utilizes the principals of narrative therapy.
He is an affirmative therapist that has provided mental health therapy for diverse cultural and socioeconomic populations in both the Midwest and East coast. He has worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups on a variety of problems ranging from anxiety and depression to substance abuse, dual diagnosis, and trauma.
In addition to clinical work, Jay is an adjunct professor at Fairfield University in the Masters of Family Therapy program teaching narrative and solution-focused therapies.
Jay operated wellness programs as a corporate nutrition consultant and a personal trainer for years before exploring the world of mental health. It was through his close connection with social activists that Jay decided to pursue a livelihood dedicated to helping others.
