Andrew Campbell, MA, LPC
Andrew has worked at the university since September 2011. Andrew worked as an engineer and a high school math teacher before earning his Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Southern CT State University. Here at SHU, he sees students who are experiencing an array of issues and difficulties, from homesickness and relationship problems to resolution of grief, trauma, and abuse. Andrew utilizes an existential approach that focuses on current relationships and personal responsibility. He also runs therapy groups which may have a specific focus such as adjustment to college or interpersonal processes. In addition to counseling at SHU, Andrew operates a private counseling and psychotherapy practice in downtown New Haven and teaches counseling courses at UConn and SCSU.
